uh oh.. Hank's new trick
He can now open doors!
When we are sleeping or out of the house Hank has the kitchen all to himself, which has 2 doors one to the living room and the other to the hall and stairs.
Yesterday I was upstairs getting some washing so I had shut the door so he didn't follow me up as we have had an incident where I say "he was just trying to help" but got in-between my feet & jumping when coming down the stairs with the washing and I nearly went flat on my face .. Anyways, I'm getting the washing and next thing I hear a thud and the door opening and him bolting up the stairs! We couldn't believe it!
So clever but we are in trouble now he knows that's how he gets to us Currently seeking a baby gate for the stairs haha

Lol, clever boy Hank. Stair gates are good. I have one over the kitchen to stop the dogs stealing cat food

Oh yes they are clever little devils. One word of warning about baby gates, I installed one to keep Flo in the kitchen when we first got her and was very proud of my handiwork only for Flo to leap over it in seconds
I took the gate down
I took the gate down

hmm.. I thought this might happen, there's the floor and a step before the banister starts to hopefully this might be high for him to jump but I don't know! He's managing to jump some height these day

Mia in her younger days could jump a 6 ft fence you could try installing a doorknob as opposed to having (door handles) knobs are round and a bit harder to open. As long as its in one room for a short period of time.

Aaah didn't think of that! that might be a better option as I didn't realise stair gates wreck the wall which hasn't long been new
