Eyesight

I am getting the distinct impression that Herbie doesn't see so well! He stares at things that aren't there, especially as the light fades. He does't see treats or food on the floor, and he can't catch anything in his mouth to save his life! He quite often mis judges a jump up or into the car and getting out of the car takes an age as he very gingerly lowers himself down to the floor.

Is it a breed thing or am I over worrying?! How could I check - can the vet look, and is there anything that could be done anyway?!

your best bet would be to ask your vet and get herbie checked out chances are you may be over worrying good luck

definitely get a vet to check. some staffords are prone to hereditary cataracts, so it's best to get him checked.

it could be that he's just clumsy!

I would get it checked. In fairness my Flo doesn't have great eyesight but can defiantly catch food when thrown her way
