My husband was allergic to one of out carpets years ago, it was wool. I know he's not a dog but allergies to carpets can happen Smile
Duke has Eden dog food and I think it's great and he's doing really well on it

I feed my dog on Wainwrights grain free as he has allergies and he's been fine on it. He has the trays and the kibble mixed. I also give him fishmongers finest for a change. You can get them from Pets at Home and they're not too expensive.

Is it possible for a dog to become allergic to their food after 2 years of using

if she's always eaten it i wouldn't think she'd suddenly become allergic to it - unless, of course, they've changed the recipe - which they sometimes do without warning!

by all means change the food if you feel it's a possibility. my only problem with Vet's Kitchen is that the hypoallergenic one is mainly chicken (a common intolerance in dogs, believe it or not), although the grain free one looks reasonable.

do you feed dry or wet food?

We tried a number of different foods for Bart and ended up with Eden 80/20 Multi-meat and fish. http://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/dog-food-reviews/0671/eden-dog-food

It got some very good reviews on Allaboutdogfood and costs us £50 for a 15kg sack (about 10 weeks worth).

50quid is bad i pay 24 for harringtons 15kg lasts about 6 weeks for bella but i have found the better the food the less they seem to need i did speak to the vet about a raw diet her exact words were that raw diets are fashionable atm but it isnt proven they are better and she suggested to stick to dry food i wouldnt be confident enough to put bella on a raw diet as i wouldnt know where to start on whats good and whats not i just want her on good food

The thing is with cheaper dog foods you are paying for rice and fillers, dogs need meat

Apologies was meant to say 50 quid isn't bad this vets kitchen has 37% meat where as harringtons only have 14%

Eden is 80% meat (on paper) but a a portion of that is chicken fat and gravy. Actual dry meat content is supposed to be about 51%.
