Buddy is fat !
hi - I have been feeding Buddy on Raw for about 3 months and going from a dog that would eat nothing he is loving his food - still getting used to bones but loves the complete minces..but....he is a little podgy - in fact he is a lot podgy -
I only noticed it the weekend when I took a picture from above and realized he has no waist ! so I am cutting his food down by 50g a day for a couple of weeks and increasing his exercise -
but as he is crated for a few hours a day he normally has a kong with some peanut butter in - ( could be the culprit to his pudginess) to keep him busy in the crate , as I am cutting his food down I do not have enough to stretch for 3 meals so any ideas what I can put in his bone kong (not the big cone ones ) that I can include in his meal allowance and is not full of calories - needs to be paste like as the ends of the bone are quite small but he loves it -doesn't like the other types of kong as hates his nose getting covered in food LOL- I thought of maybe blending liver and kidney but the complete minces already have the correct ratio of this in them ...ok for DIY days I guess , but not mince days any ideas ???
