Buddy promoting his breed
I have always had dogs but Buddy is my first Staffy .. I was really surprised when I got him as a pup the amount of people who told me " he will never walk on a lead nicely " he will never mix with other dogs" "he will hurt your cat " - you get the picture ..
Well we drink in a very busy country pub -that has a dog ( cockerpoo) and have no issues with people bringing their own dogs in. Buddy has been going there since he was 10 weeks old he is now 14months.. since taking him there it is so nice to see the change in attitude of many of the regulars and strangers towards the staffy breed .. people come up to me and ask if they can stroke him - give him biscuits and generally ask about him and its great I get a chance to explain just how loving a staffy can be . People now ask where he is if we are there without him.
We were there yesterday and he was watching the children play and so many of them asked if they could touch him, and I was so pleased to hear parents saying "of course that's buddy he is lovely " .. even when other dogs came in he behaved so well ..was very proud - it just shows that peoples misconceptions about the breed can be changed - the pub even bring him food from the kitchen and his own bowl for water ( cockerpoo not too impressed about that LOL )
just thought I would share it with you all and a picture of Buddy yesterday being a wonderful ambassador

I know the feeling, well done buddy, my Ella is also a credit to her breed and it makes me proud when people comment and say I didn't realise how friendly they are.
