CH4 Rescue Dog to Super Dog

Just watched this on Ch4, what a super programme.

I know a lady down here who is diabetic and has a Medic Dog, black lab called Bess.

Because she is a medic dog Bess is allowed in the supermarket in fact she is allowed to go anywhere as she is not supposed to leave her owners side.

Bess is trained to recognize the signs of a diabetic hypo attack and knows what to do which I think is really clever.

Bess knows me very well and she knows I carry dog treats. She only has to see me and she will sit without being told to she will then paw me to get a treat.

When her owner had a fall and hurt her hip I offered to walk Bess so she got to to go out but her owner said she probably wouldn't go because she is trained not to leave her owners side.
