Out with Bug on the moors this morning, we got to a clear, open stretch and she had a zoom about on her long line. Suddenly a man and a Staffie appeared (literally from nowhere?!)... I called to Bug to "stay" with such authority that Bug, the man and his dog all stopped in their tracks and looked at me like rabbits in the head lights 
so embarrassing! She did good though and disaster was averted...
