Non doggy people Empty Non doggy people

Just had to talk to doggy people about this. I live in quite an affluent area (me not being so lol) and the local park and dog of choice, which seems to be a fashion thing is a cockerpoo, and they are nearly all called Lola.
As you can imagine I get a funny look with my huge 22kilo staffy. in the area.

Anyway, I take my puppy frenchy over the park where they all meet to let them off to play all together, about ten of them (I walk Daisy separately later with pup as she is old and creaky). Not one of the owners has a clue about dog language and behaviour it is unbelievable.

One dog was running round barking in all the other dogs faces and making them all quite nervous, it was very dominant and they are all laughing saying he is talking to them. Another dog joins the group and this dog runs at it and puts its paw right over its shoulder and stands dead still right over it, in the fight stance. I was the only person standing there thinking, is nobody seeing this. For the love of god, these people have no idea about dogs its laughable. It wasn't just a dominant paw on the other dog, it was standing right over its shoulders. I might be moving on to a different walk lol xx whistling

It's not only the lack of sleep understanding their dogs it's also the complete lack of training and the "It's only being friendly" that gets me. I live in an affluent part of London/Surrey and you would think some of these people had never been to school let alone being born with common sense.

We however, will not be changing our walk as Flo OWNS the park and all Squirrels therein Laughing

Awww bless her, they do love a squirrel lol.

Went again today and it totally made my mind up not to go again. All of the cockerpoos were bullying a more timid dog and then the owner said "she's got to learn to mix with them", poor dog. And then one of the more dominant dogs went up to the owner and weed up her leg. I just give up. What are these people like lol x
