Sofas.. Empty Sofas..

What do you all cover your sofas with (if you let your dogs up, that is!)

I love Bug coming up for snugs and she always gets down when requested. Our downstairs is open plan so she has access to the kitchen/diner and living room when home alone and at night. Bug is non destructive in every other way, but has always been a digger (she dug huge holes in our previous leather sofa!) We have recently got a newer sofa which we cover with a few throws, but she has now dug through those too and has already put a hole in one of the sofa cushions! She only does it overnight when she is trying to get comfy (we hear her and interrupt her) or when we are out. She also does this in the flower beds to create a comfy space to sunbathe in (but that doesn't bother me!)

We want to find something slightly more heavy duty to cover the sofa with that we can take off to wash.. Any ideas?

We use dog blankets Rachel but Flo rearranges them just like Bug does. Fortunately she hasn't destroyed them or the sofa yet but will be keen to hear if anyone has better ideas... Flo will catch the sofa eventually the m sure I dont want to s

We let Blue up on leather sofa and he has a chair which he has as his own which we cover with blanket, up till now at coming up 5 1/2 month he has not done any damage, he sleeps on our bed at nights and sometimes wake up with him in bed! Will wait to hear what options are open in case he should start.

Dog hair and mud!

Seriously, although it's not really in my veggie ethos to go for leather, we have a 2nd hand leather sofa and armchair that we got cheaply off fleabay. The wipe down and, given how little we paid, I honestly don't care what happens to it. House proud, that's me! Laughing
