Lapdogs

I met two people today that had only recently discovered the wonders of our breed, both asked me if it was a staffie trait for them to ALWAYS want to either be on you, or at least near you

Was lovely to hear such positive stories of people that had been brought around after previous concerns. Lovely little love bugs

I think it's one of life's great surprises that a breed with such an unwarranted notoriety has such a loving nature

Lap dogs indeed they are! One of Chaos's favourite places, other than under the duvet, is on my knees giving me a full face wash.

They definitely are lapdogs! Dodger is sound asleep on my lap as I write this!

I think that's a big reason a lot of little old ladies in my area have older staffs. I was speaking to one lady who wanted a dog, went to the rescue and described what type of dog she was looking for, cuddles and companionship etc and they told her that's a Staffy you want!

That's a very positive comment and so nice to hear.  I was talking to the owner of a labradoodle the other day and was trying to explain why staffies get such a bad press etc and that they are the best breed ever and her reply was "That breed frightens me and I try to avoid them as much as possible!!!"  Well...... I tried

My mum never imagined she would have a staffie sitting on her lap until she met Katy

It's not confined to sitting on laps!

Ted loves to lay down/sleep anywhere I have been previously - my side of the sofa, my side of the bed, my car seat, any chair I have sat in.

His special treat is to sleep on my side of the bed and I sleep on the dog side.

My mum used to think they were an aggressive breed, now she's completely in love with Rio's cuddly self, he's curled up on the sofa with me as i type!
It's nice people are getting to understand the breed better, things are much better than they used to be

they're such snuggle bugs, Gizmo's not happy unless he's leaning next to someone with as much of his body touching as possible. If he can get himself onto an actual lap, all the better.

He loves elderly ladies. and gentlemen, and teenagers, and kids, and basically anyone who'll pet him and tell him he's pretty.

Yup Milo is just the same and my beautiful girlie Bree was too. We're in our late 60's and I just love how loving this breed is and makes you feel loved and wanted. He always goes under my duvet in the morning til I get up and sits by me on the sofa or on my knee kissing my face lol. As you can tell my my Avatar he loves to snuggle anybody. I love him (and all staffs) to bits x

Nawww. They are just cuddle muffins. I always lie on the rug and lexi will snuggle into me and i hug her like a boyfriend pillow.
