Jemma eating at last.......
ok, so i caved in and gave up on trying to get Jemma to eat her dry food. When i left her for an hour yesterday i came home to:
a tipped over bin with rubbish all over the kitchen, including a now empty bacon pack, cat food remains
the fone was on the floor,
paper all over the place,
plus more lol
the point im makin is tht she was determined not to eat her dry food as the cats are on wet food, and obv this appeals to her much more.
with this in mind i went searching for a gd quality wet food, as i have read about wht goes in to the low quality stuff (YUCK!!)
ended up in pets at home, and bought some wainrights tray food, and some mixer to go with it.
got her home, prepared her food, and put it on the floor.
not surprisingly, it went in seconds!
i no dry food is generally better for dogs, but id rather feed her something she enjoys and not have to worry about it.

Great stuff......
Glad she is eating. And who can blame her for not wanting just dry food. I know I would'nt like it It's nice to have a bit of variety.

Well, if that's what she likes & she does well on it, go or it!

Re: Jemma eating at last.......
my Ellie doesn't like her dry food particularly ,so i put in a bit of beef mince and warm through in micro for 40 odd seconds mix it all up when its warm and she eats it as its coated in juice from mince,i add heart to it as well ,i just warm it through not cook it out, and mix it up ,i don't buy the lean or steak mince as its got little or no fat content and no juice to coat food ..works for my 2
i did persevere one time for about 4 days to get her to eat dry food solely but she wasn't that enthusiastic about it .but as a pup she ate it 4 meals a day then 3 now 2 as an adult
