'tough' dogs

It makes me laugh how staffies have this reputation of being tough dogs, if only people really knew what they're really like!

Today my dog was acting tough and barking at a cat out the window, the next minute an empty gift bag that was next to him fell and he ran as fast as he could away form it and up the stairs He got the fright of his life!

I was crying laughing!

They are big scaredy cats at times are'nt they sash did the same with a carrier bag blowing in the breeze the other day,her hackles went up and she was growling at it but would'nt go near it

Hahahaha thats so funny! It's always at the most random things an all, I walked past a carpet shop once and Milo refused to walk past because he was terrified of the roll of carpet outside the shop! We crossed over the road and of course when we were away from the carpet he kicked off barking and growling at it

A leaf, yes a single leaf scared Misty at training class a while back. The instructor couldn't do stop laughing

Yup our big scary Staffies are wooosses really... But hey don't tell the public

As one rather well known rehoming centre say... "Staffies are softer than you think" and never a truer statement made

Oh that is so funny, I can so visualise that !!! I was walking Koda on the weekend and a guy looked at him and laughed then said "He looks like a big wuss" ummm yes, yes he is !!!

Sounds about right! Bug has been terrified by a daffodil in the past..

Yep - bags of sand left in driveways by builders are Milo's bug bear and window cleaners with ladders

Wheelie bins are really scary (apparently)

And don't even mention plastic bags in the wrong place.

cant say mia ever been scared of plastic bags mopeds and motorbikes but I learned to work round that now her ears go up dnt think its the noise its the motorbike itself she would growl and try and chase them now 4 in a row pass she only slightly flinches at the fourth one she hated cars with a loud engine as well

They're fearsome beasts!

This morning Gizmo was super-scared of some fixed exercise stuff in the park. He sees it every day nearly, but today it was scary because it had frost on it.
Gizmo freaks out at people up high - balconies, ladders, scaffolding..3 stairs up...leaning out of windows.

Discovered at the weekend that snowmen are scary, oh and some children made a snow kitten and that spooked Una for a bit.

once my dad had a massive sneezing fit, gizmo was so scared he hid behind me.

today giz ran away from a french bulldog
