Not herself

Since early morning Flo hasn't been right. She climbed the stairs as usual this morning for her normal snuggle but hasn't eaten anything at all not even her favourite treats and stayed in her bed or on the sofa all day

I know one of her back legs is not feeling good as she hasn't been running properly the last few walks either and I'm wondering if the two issues are connected.

She actually shivered when I offered her a walk today so we didn't go, this really isn't like her.

If she doesn't perk up by Monday then it'll be the dreaded vets I think

Doesn't sound like her normal self Ian, I would take her for a check up on Monday mate Flo

She still wags her tail and is very alert but it's like she doesn't know what to do with herself at times too, I'm sure it's either a tummy upset or painful leg(s)

As you say, Ian, see how she goes tomorrow. Hopefully she'll feel better after a good night's sleep.

Oh good! How is she this morning, Ian?

Poor girl! The air pressure might be giving her gyp if she's got sore legs. I know my Dad's been really uncomfortable from all the rain (he's got arthritus and some ligiment injuries) the last few days.

Poor Flo, shes such a darling. I bet its the pain in her leg. Good that she has eaten tho. Maybe keep a bowl of water upstairs for her in case she doesn't want to come down for a drink. Bless her - its awful when they can't tell us whats wrong. Good luck at the vets and keeps us informed.

Flo is much better today and ate her breakfast and dinner so is definitely feeling a whole lot better. She was eager to go for her usual big walk today and seemed to run better too (even though I was trying to make her walk )

She made it clear when she was ready to go home though so I think it'll be some gentle walks for the next few days. Her back leg is hurting her and she's not jumping at all but I think that's a good thing so as not to damage anything.

So the dreaded vets is on hold and I'll see how she gets on over the next few days

glad she's doing better. last time gizmo had a sore leg I put one of my pillows on a radiator for a bit so he could use it as a heat pad. He decided resting his bits on it would be more comfortable, so that's now HIS pillow.

My Dizzy has had both his cruciate ligaments done a few years back but sometimes one gets a little sore if he's over done it when we are out walking. He reacted in a very similar way not too long back and me being ultra paranoid had him straight up the vet. The vet said all his vitals were fine and gave him an anti-inflamatory jab to see if that helped as he just seemed a little stiff. By the time I got him home he was as right as rain and back to his old self...and I was a several quid lighter!!

It just been such miserable weather too, no good for sore joints. Great to hear she's feeling better.

We do know she has arthritis so I'm hoping that's what's been wrong. She can't jump in the car or on the bed at the moment but seems to be walking/jogging ok.

I'll see what improvement there is come the weekend but if she isn't back to somewhere near normal it'll be a vet visit.

Just bear in mind that this colder weather can make arthritis worse, so don't be too surprised if she's a little less comfortable. Is she on anything for it, Ian?

She is Liz, she has one capsule of nutraquin a day. I've know for quiet some time that she has arthritis but this is the first winter I've known her not to jump in the car or on the bed bless her.

Oh poor Flo! Keep us updated Ian, I hope she's feeling lots better, the temperature has definitely dropped recently and Im even having issues with my knees because of it, she's a trooper though

She's a lot better now thanks Kerry. She jumped on the bed this morning for the first time in ages and was a whole lot more playful too

Thanks Stella & Crystal. I think it was more the wet weather Stella as she is getting better by the day and landed on the bed again this morning

I'm sure the arthritis is an issue but I'm now wondering if she injured her leg

we have just had a hydrotherapy dog centre open not far from us and its had some really good feed back,if sasha's keeps playing her up i'd like to give it a go

I'd be interested to know how she got on too
