rainy day inside....

Was a real winter's day yesterday.. the boys spent most of it inside. Winston LOVES watching the tv.. him and Tony watched the drag racing for a few hours.. Tony had to make sure he shared his love between the 2 boys.... Winston came out with me to tend to the chickens.. he chases the chooks so he is not allowed in with them for now...meanwhile I whipped up a batch of yummy peanut butter biscuits... for the doggies NOT Tony !! The dogs loved the biscuits, and they are so easy to make. If anyone wants the recipe let me know...

Aw! Adorable photos. Hard to pick a favorite...I love the one of Winston watching the chickens and the one of him and Jethro asleep on the sofa. They are both wonderful boys,and seem to enjoy the t.v My Gus could sit for hours on end watching it. Those biscuits look great,I bet they enjoyed them. I have Gus and Kelly beside me and they're looking at the screen and at me like they want one!

I wish Roxy would just chill and lay down while inside......she still has so much energy and has'nt worked out that inside is for chilling and behaving, and outside is for burning enrgy

Lynne we have 10 chooks and get around 3 or 4 eggs a day at the moment ( it is winter I guess ! ) Jethro is very good with the chooks.. he has never chased them at all and I was hoping Winston would pick up on Jethro's behaviour, but he failed miserably. The poor chooks.. they go in all directions!! Let them out every afternoon for a forage but look out it Winston gets to them .. he tries to round them up !!
The recipe
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups wholemeal flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup milk

Mix flour and baking powder
In separate bowl mix peanut butter with milk ( I warmed in microwave a bit to make it easier!)
Stir in flour until well blended, it will turn into a soft dough
Roll out and cut into shapes or use a cutter..
Bake for 20 mins in moderate oven, allow to cool on wire rack.
( I did go over some of them with milk before I baked them )

Tony wants to know when I am going to make HIM some biscuits...

Lynne I just use those plastic kitchen measuring cups.. so I honestly don't know!!

I just like the recipe because it is simple... my sort of cooking !! I am sure Billy will love them !
