And for the first time I feel like i have done my part in shareing my amazing memories I have with Ash and a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

I don't have children of my own yet and Thats why the loss was so great to me.. Ash was my child!

The type if unconditional love we shared is something that one can only experience with a child!
And to all of you that have said such kind words I say Thank You and I am so happy to be a part of the few special people in the world that have had the joy of being a staffy owner!

And it Is slowly getting easier and easier to deal with the loss!
Except those certian times you reflect on something he did and then realise he is gone.. My eyes still well up every time i talk about him.. But I have to direct all my love to my little bitch Laila now.. and I feel so bad for her.. she still looks for Ash! Poor little thing!

This post has brought an even bigger lump in my throat as I know where you are coming from.
I missed the boat, train, bus, aeroplane or whatever other means of transport that could have changed my life on the kiddy front a long time ago.
Then Kita came into my world.
I have been accused of thinking more about my dog than I did humans, but how do you explain to others what you feel.....?
I didn't see her as a replacement "child I never had" like I was often accused, she was just the most unpretentious, loving thing that I had ever known in my life and I feel I became a better person because of it.
Sure I lavished all the love (and discipline) on her that one would give to a growing child, but the look on her face when I came home from work or was upset about anything in my life, made me feel so humble that she was always there right beside me. All I could do was cuddle her and tell her how much I loved her, throw her ball and she was the happiest thing one could be.
What I wouldn't give to know their secret......
They are our pure hearts and I love them more than life itself.

Its So True What you Say!
I can tell you this 100% honestly without any doubt!
I have never in my life loved anyone or anything as much as I loved My boy Ash!
I never once regreted a single thing we shared together, he never broke my heart, he never ignored me, he never ever didn"t want to be with me!
its hard to explain that unconditional love to someone!
we as humans are incapable of giving that!!!
Where can you be upset and pour all your feelings onto someone and never be met with judgement!
where can just the sight of someone just make you instantly happy!
you can shout at your Staffy, or give them a smack for being naughty.. but unlike a child they forgive you straight away and all they want is love and will never ever hold anything against you!

Like I say.. dogs live on average 7 times a shorter life span than us.. and only ever show us love and devotion... and we should do the same for them!

I thank God every night for blessing me with Ash for the Last 9and a half Years and have learnt more from him emotionally than I will ever learn from any person! He was a gift to me from God and I realise this more and more every day I am without him!

No parent should outlive their child and I feel like I have outlived mine!
and only someone like yourself and the select few of us lucky enough to have realised this will understand where I am comming from!

Like I said to my wife the other day!

If I love my own children half as much as I love my Ash.. they will be the luckiest kids on Earth!

You will love your children with all your heart, as you did Ash and they will be blessed to have you as their dad.
I know I would have been.

I truely feel for you, my two are my children and i always say they are ment to be human. The pictures are amazing of your little boy growing up, brought a tear or few. RIP
