Alabama rot awareness
Goblin posted this elsewhere but it's probably going to get most views here.
Not sure which bit of the board has the most traffic, but as there are starting to be more cases of Alabama rot in the UK I thought I'd share this http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/vets-warn-dog-owners-of-flesh-eating-disease-called-alabama-rot-after-multiple-cases-a6779601.html and this http://alabamarot.co.uk/ not as a blind panic, more as a always get leisions checked as soon as possible thing.

This is a particularly nasty disease. There have been a cluster of cases around the New Forest area with one of the local vets becoming somewhat an "expert".
They have no idea what causes it either

I guess the reason they're saying to wash off your dogs when you come back from a walk in the woods is, even if it doesn't actually help stop infection, it does mean you're checking their legs over.
