Pen/segragation Empty Pen/segragation

Post by dannyboi91 Tue Oct 13 2015, 12:00

Pick my pup up in 2 weeks, me and the OH have been trying to figure out what we are going to do while we are at work. I have an alcove in the kitchen about 180cm x 100cm which will be the area for the pup with cage, toys and food/water. I am struggling to find a gate wide enough to put up so was thinking along the lines of buying a pen and either building it as a pen or screwing it into the wall at each end.

Was also contemplating just putting a baby gate on the kitchen door but I have a 2 year old cat and his litter and food/water are in the kitchen. Would it be un advisable to leave the puppy and cat together alone where they have to spend time in the same room for a period of time?

Any advice/suggestions welcome.

No i wouldnt leave an adult cat and pup that young alone together until you can trust the cat enough. Took me a few months till the cat accepted the newbie to the house.

I would not let the cat and pup together. I would make sure they are seperated entirely, cause cats really are evil.
