Sick once a month

Any ideas? Lexi is fed wainwrights and just a normal dog food to mix. Approx once a month or sometimes two months she will have a big sticky poo in her crate and usually vomits too. Like i say, this only happens sporadically and she never seems any worse for wear after. Its really bizarre. Nothing changes in her diet/routine 
Vet doesn't seem concerned because it is not regular.
Any ideas? Shes 11 now.

Suki does it every couple of months as well. I figure she just ate something we didn't see

Maybe. There is lots of crap about here (horse *, chickens...usual stuff..)
