Ultimate dog treats!

I've got my puppy, Spike on a 100% diet now and he's thriving beautifully on it....I've given him quite a few different treats since I've had him, but he goes absolutely bonkers for cow trachea..Sounds horrific, but it's not that bad...Today i put raw chicken mince with a few peas and carrots mashed up inside a 2" length and froze it...Little mate loved it to bits! It kept him quiet for a good 20 minutes.
You can get tracheas online pre cut, or in longer lengths which you can either give as a large piece or cut into smaller pieces...Im currently talking to my local butchers who is trying to supply me with this stuff..

Plastic bottles, cardboard, his bed, anything really he's not fussy. Gave him a bone for the first time today and he got a full 2 hours out of it. Great to know when we need to keep him amused.  Haven't really tried him with anything else yet. Going to try pigs ears next.

Also on an aside, I'm a bit concerned about the amount of plastic he must have injested, tops of milk carton etc. Should I be?

Well i have been giving them to Maya from about 14 weeks old, so nothing to worry about IMO, with the Trotters, i usually give her one in the evening when i can watch her, but only because they have bones in, but she destroys the lot.

I try to avoid plastic, just for that reason and just give high quality treats.

Tuschinski i would leave the pigs ears for a little while yet imo.

Looking for toy ideas too, have a kong extreme and a rope toy but he has destroyed everything else.

Maya has never had any problems with pigs ears/trotters/knuckle and marrow bones, she loves them and they keep her happy a long time. An old slipper is a good thing for them to rag as well

Millie loves a stuffed trachea as well, I stuffed mine with mince, offal and natural yoghurt she loves it

I think i will get a couple of those on my next order. NM does sell them, so i don`t need to search around for them
