I can't help you I am afraid, as I live in Australia and don't know what frogs you have there... Over here we have cane toads.. the poison they excrete kills anything...they are horrible things !

RIP Froggie !

if your dog catches a frog and maims it, the best way to painlessly put a frog to sleep is to put it in a bag and put it in the freezer and it just goes to sleep.

I dont believe that, we had a similar debate on the reptile forum recently. Being frozen is far from a painless way to die, It would take a long time and the process which would eventually kill the creature would be gradual. If you have to kill it your better off hitting on the head really hard. I couldnt kill any animal though, I would probably end up keeping it and trying to save its life lol!

I had to kill my rat years ago........it was horrible. He was really really old and had spent his whole life running around our old flat, he was litter trained (off his own accord lol ) and used to come when called etc. But then when i had my daughter he had to live in a cage it was huge but not what he was used to, he lost loads of weight and was really depressed. One day i came home and he had had a stroke he was shaking and foaming at the mouth and couldnt move. I couldnt bear him to be in pain so i comforted him then took him into the garden and hit him hard over the head. He died instantly.......i wouldnt hesitate to do it again (to a animal of that size) i cant bear suffering and would put any animal out of pain. x
