Hello my name is Peppa - not to be muddled up with the pig - I'm a lady you know! I'm new to senior Staffy club and have been asked to introduce myself so here goes...

As I said I'm new to SSC but sadly not to rescue having spent...wait for it....2 1/2 years in the kennel pounds! That's at least a quarter of my life that my forever family have missed out on!!

Don't let my advancing years fool you though, I'm still a pup at heart and I act like it!

I am a very small, bouncy Staffy lady that loves nothing more than a cuddle and a tummy rub which is part of the reason that I need to be the only fur baby in the home as I want all the love you can give and personally I think I deserve it too after spending so long without a comfy knee to rest me head on.

Although I just adore all the love and attention you can lavish on me, I'm quite the modern woman and like my own space as well, so would like to live with older children so I can get some peace and quiet. I love all you humans I just wish someone would love me back the way I love them.

I enjoy my walks and get excited so can pull a bit and jump at the lead, but I soon calm down once we get going - us older ladies have to pace ourselves you know! I've been told that I'm very responsive to training and am improving already but I knew I would be, I'm an intelligent woman, I just need my forever human to give me some guidance and this will help us bond.

I'm not keen on being around other dogs, but after 2 1/2 years in kennels listening to the youngsters incessant barking and getting goodness only knows moving in next door, I think I'm due a break from them, don't you agree?! If they keep their distance I'm ok walking with another dog, I won't be rude by barking or lunging at them, but I do like my personal space.

Peppa is spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. She is currently in kennels in the Worcester area but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit.  However, any potential adopter should be willing to travel to meet Peppa where she is now.

There is an adoption fee of £90 for Peppa and all money donated goes directly to helping all the seniors in our care.
