Re: Maxi :)
Glad you hear the update. For training whatever command you use it has to be kept consistent by everyone in the house. Keep the training sessions short to start of with maybe 10-15 minutes but multiple times through the day. Praise her heavily when she gets something right. Food is also a great motivator espically for the come or recall command. Try building up to having her sit and wait before feeding her. You also might want to try to starrt putting a collar on her so she will be used to it for when you start walking her.

Re: Maxi :)
Can't speak to the BARF diet. Since I use treats alot for training and walking I use different types of vegetables. Suki likes sweet potatos the best and keeps her from getting fat.

Re: Maxi :)
I steam the potato and chop into small pieces. I make sure they are small so she won't choke. I stick these into the fridge so they will last. I also feed her either baby or chopped carrots. I don't cook these just place in the fridge. She also likes raw cabbage.

Re: Maxi :)
I am using Science Diet Lamb and Rice. She has a food allergy and the dermatologist can't accurately run a test to find out what she is allergic to until she is a year old. Once that is done I may have to switch to a raw diet but will have to do a bit of research so I know she is getting all the nutrition that she needs. There are a number of good threads on this forum that address this topic as well.
