~ Hello fellow Staffy lovers !

I'm a new member as of this morning.
Cannot believe it took me this long to search for & find a forum dedicated to Staffies.. guess it's better late than never though hey !

~ 1 1/2 years ago, I was going through a bit of a rough patch in my life..
We have always had "family dogs", but finally when I was 17, I had the privilege of having a dog that I could call my own. I have found that majority of the time, sooner or later people hurt you.. I can't think of one person I felt I could really trust & confide in, so instead; I relied on my dog to lift my spirits.. & without effort, he did. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years back which (goes without saying) devastated me.. it took some time, but eventually I had learnt to accept & be at peace with the fact of the matter.
Recent times have been quite difficult.. not having one person I felt I could even talk to resulted in the overwhelming feeling of loneliness.. for SOOOOOOO long the one thing I would wish & pray for was the miracle of having that feeling of a strong bond, trust, honesty, loyalty & love with a new dog.
~ After 1 1/2 years, my prayers were finally answered.. a little white pup ! 6 weeks old..
The connection we had was instantaneous.. the bond between us developed in the blink of an eye.. the girl I knew would pick me up when I was down, & make me smile instead of frown..
~ My gorgeous little girl, who is just a week shy off being 7 months, has had the biggest positive impact on my life.. I know she will always be there for me when no one else is..
Even to this day, I tend to catch myself talking to her.. even though she can't understand me, it doesn't stop her from sitting by my side, seemingly listening so contently.

I really don't know what I would do without my gorgeous girl.. I don't care if people think I'm weird or whatever, but I can honestly say that she is my best friend !

They are the most loyal and loving things aren't they, all they want is to please and be loved and are quiet special in that way, in fact I'd say unique.

My girl makes me smile every single day and even when I'm tired and really don't want to go for a walk her ways always make me smile and go for that walk. Watching her have fun in and out of the trees chasing Squirrels can't fail to make anyone happy.

I pretty sure nobody here will think your weird as most of us feel the same way
