Microchipping a pup?
What's the youngest age a puppy can be microchipped?
My local pet shop is doing a free microchipping session on 28th June, so my pup will only be 8 and a half weeks. Would it be ok to get her chipped?

Re: Microchipping a pup?
I think we got Bane's put in on his second vaccinations about 10 weeks. I think it's about the size of a grain of rice so it shouldn't be a problem, I'm sure the pet store owner would be able to advise?

Zeus was 12 weeks getting chipped but as said before, it was pretty painless, I'm pretty sure he didn't even realise.

Re: Microchipping a pup?
Buddy was chipped yesterday at 13 weeks old - cried like a baby .. was sick in the car on the way home and didn't settle at night we massaged his shoulders and it seemed to give him some relief, maybe he was sore from the chipping , I think he is a bit of a baby but this morning up and about at 5.00am chasing the cat and hiding his toast for later ..normal service resumed !
