HOW MUCH!!!!!

As I had time this morning I took Katy to the vets as I had run out of her flea/worming stuff. The receptionist managed to talk me into a different brand than normal as these covered her for lungworm & ticks which the other didn't. She hasn't been weighed since last july when she was 23.2kgs, popped her on the scales & she now weighs in at 25.1kgs (3.9 stone) My little bruiser
I recovered from that only to be asked for £86 for her treatment on the plus side it will last her the summer season.

These treatments are flippin expensive and Advocate will stain your leather sofa or take the print off your Hi-Vis deaf jacket too. Makes me wonder what it does to dogs

Have you asked your Vets if they do a healthy pet plan? I pay £10 a month for mine and I get all my wormers, vaccinations and Flea stuff included in that xx

Oops! Would you say that she's overweight? Or just a bigger build? Bug's only 18kg! Those treatments are so expensive!!!

No Rach she's definitely not over weight she is a big girl (18" to the shoulder & built like the proverbial brick out side toilet) solid muscle I cant find an inch of fat on her must be all the exercise & tug o war games we do.
The vets certainly get their moneys worth out of us dog lovers She's worth every penny

What worming/flea treatment have they put you on now?
Just been enquiring about it at our vets today and for our Program something all inclusive its about £50 odd for 6 months! They were telling us about a monthly plan with them too where all fleaing and worming is included along with a bunch of other stuff

Hi Emma, its Milbemax that covers all worms including lungworm which the Advocate doesn't & Bravecto that covers fleas & ticks. Around this way there is a problem with ticks & I don't want Katy to have that problem. I'm lucky that she is just on the weight limit or it would of been 2 of Milbemax a month if she was any heavier

Woah! Got off lightly there then! We're on Program Plus all in 1 worm and flea but it doesn't mention anything about lungworm...hmm might have to take a look around! Thanks

Not all treatment cover lungworm & I've never seen 1 that covers ticks but like I said I want to make sure Katy is covered for anything she could pick up (she's my baby)

The guide dog has something called prac tic its a flea and tick treatment i dnt want to imagine the price as its for large dogs be a months worth of food probably eek

Advocate is vile but does cover lungworm
