Cool Pesky branches

Post by Dogface Wed May 20 2015, 20:02

Just a heads up. Literally. Walking Bo today and was distracted by a snarling hound in a van (sitting in it, not driving). Next thing I know I experience a somewhat sharp pain as I walk into a branch which sticks into my eye socket under my left eye, taking my eye lid right under the eyeball so that I had to get a finger in there and pull it out. Worst of all there was a couple walking towards us at the time so to avoid embarrassment I had pretend nothing had happened and wait until we'd passed to utter some choice blasphemy. Luckily I was wearing shades, otherwise I'd likely be sporting an eye patch right now.

So watch out for those pesky branches, kids, because they don't half smart when they're stuck in your eye socket.

I've had plenty of near misses I have to say. It is one of those things that you never really think about but is a hazard of Dog walking.
