Flo as a fantastic temperament but she seems to let other dogs be aggressive to her and seems to cower at times she is 8mths but other times loves to play and roll about.my daughters Bedlington snaps at her and she just lays down I do not want her to be nasty but just to protect herself or will this come.

On a lighter note has anyone tried Akela dog food I have been hearing good reports on this product

Can't offer any advice on the food Malcolm but the submissiveness will subside as she gets older I would imagine. Staffs aren't like other breeds that are generally submissive, once she becomes emboldened with experience I'm sure she'll find her stance and hold her own.

I wouldn't worry too much as I'm sure if she was in a real threatening situation she would react accordingly. Be thankful you have this behaviour, most that post here have the opposite Smile

It's your responsibility to step in if she's being bullied Smile letting dogs sort it out for themselves can result in misplaced aggression, and learning to use aggression as a reaction. If another dog seems to be pushing her, step in and stop the interaction by distraction both dogs away from each other for a short time. If it's continuous and your girl isn't enjoying the interaction, make a decision about whether it's a worthwhile playmate to have.
