Re: Staffs and Chihuahuas?
Two dogs of the same sex are generally more difficult to integrate. There can also be jealousy issues if one dog recieves more attention. Suki plays with a Chihua and a group of poodles every day but I don't think I would leave her alone with one. It depends on the tempermant of the dogs. If you have a chance to let them interact before you bring the other dog home that would be ideal. I'm sure someone here can be of a better help.

Re: Staffs and Chihuahuas?
I have a chi x and 2 staffords together. Feebee the chihuahua x was fully grown though, when we got Skibadee and was the older of the two dogs (shes 10 now) so has always been the boss. The two breeds get on fine together but if you are getting a chihuahua puppy I would be wary of leaving the two of them alone together. Not because the staff will intentionally hurt the chihuahua but because an accident could happen. Staffs are roughly 18kg or solid muscle and can be pretty clumsy when playing and running, a chihuahua puppy is absolutely tiny (about 1kg) and could easily be hurt by rough play or even being knocked into by a boistrous stafford.

Re: Staffs and Chihuahuas?
My friend has a stafford and 3 chi's (along with a dobie, gdsXsbt & few terriers) and the stafford is great with the chi's (better than the other breeds) but she NEVER leaves them alone or lets them play, she from day one put a stop to the chi's "yapping" at the stafford and she has full peace between them all. (the trouble maker is the dobe lol)
