Lost sibling returns to the pack

To simplify the story, when Katy was about 6months old my oh's son (my step son) came back to stay with us as he had nowhere to go. Katy took to him straight away, couldn't wait to wake him up in the morning with a staffie kiss He was with us for a few months then went off on his own again. he now comes out to us once or twice a week. She goes absolutely crazy when he comes, she leaps up as if trying to jump in his arms Watching her is like when you watch a wolf pack on telly greeting members. He always comes down to her level & she absolutely smothers him in kisses (literally) as he has trouble getting breath We've told him she thinks he is an equal sibling rather than a pack leader, it's so funny to watch as she gets him in positions he cant get out of
