thanks! yeah he is a good poser lol
took about an hour to get the photos. lots of tiny bits of cheese and a very patient pup.
even point and shoots can take great photos. play with the settings to manual and shoot with just enough available light. I shoot upwards of 1600 ISO. turn the flash off, turn the macro on, zoom in a bit, and SNAP!

What exactly does the ISO number mean? Is it better to have a higher or lower number? Sorry.....you're gonna hate me asking all these photography questions

ISO is basically how sensitive the camera picks up light. the higher the ISO, more light is let in faster allowing you to shoot in low light without flash. the draw back, some may say, is that the photo has more grain to the photo rather than crisp. But I love the grain. it reminds me of my first SLR, a 35mm.
