Checkendon Challange
whoop, 3rd place today. absolutley no idea how, was a shock to hear my name at the award ceremony. actualy had a look around to see who had the same name as me lol.
I had no expectations for this race other than having a bit of fun. its the first time I've ridden with marley solo and my first time at this race which is probably one of the most technical in the UK.
I only got five mins footage as my cam battery went flat due to a 45 min delay after another competitor had to be taken away by ambulance. thankfully it turned out nothing to bad.
very very proud of my Boy today
here is the first 5 mins, it starts to get real twisty as we enter the woods. think our time was 15 mins something over the 5K course.

Re: Checkendon Challange
I was quite disappointed when that stopped - something rather mesmerising about it! Brilliant stuff, especially when you were trying something new on a difficult course.
Another question - sometimes it's clear where the track is but other times it's less so - there was a bit just before the 2:00 mark that Marley veered off to the left. How much steering have you got or is it voice command?

I was disapointed to lol, but some footage is better than none i guess.
With the directions, you have no physical control at all when running. To get him to turn I will sometime call a direction if I think he will stray(I give a left coming into a hard left corner at 2;03). Sometimes if I havent judged it right like at the point you mentioned I will say "this way" and he looks to see where I'm going and runs out again.
I praise him the entire length of any run we do and he feeds of that, I think thats what has made him so good at following trails.

Thanks mate it is really great fun, most of all the dogs love it, felt a bit bad running marley on his own and leaving laska with my bro but that the rules for this race. waggy tails all roundshegsy wrote:Well done Nathan and well done Marley.

Wow, what can I say, I was going, go Marley. Its looks brillant fun. I know hubby would love doing that, (he did try running Pixee along side him on the canal, didnt get far) so no go. But well done you both. I loved watching the footage, shame it ran out. Well done
