crafty
when i take howie out for a wee, he will go straight away no problems, he will then come up to me for a treat which is great but then he will go off and do another little wee then come up for another treat and sometimes a 3rd time. is this normal to go a few times or is he just trying to get more treats out of me? and should i give him a treat everytime he goes?

Re: crafty
I think it's quite normal as they are very crafty and soon catch on eventually when they are toilet trained stop the treats.or cut them back
Re: crafty
All normal and he is still very young so bladder control is weak

Re: crafty
I'm not really worried about the amount, more do I give him a treat everytime he goes or just the first time

Re: crafty
I only gave Ruby the treats for the first couple of days - once she knew the routine I stopped and just made loads of fuss after a wee and she kept up the good work.

Re: crafty

Re: crafty
They don't have full control until at least 6 months so the more your pup pees outside the better Alternate a treat for plenty of praise!

Re: crafty
Very normal. We still give Suki a small treat if it is raining and she will knock on the door and go outside when it is raining

Agreed !
Lots of excitingley voiced praise, is more than enough for such a simple task, if your not careful you will be using cheese, liver, then steak, as a reward and even that still wont be enough.
