bad toy fluff, help!!!
Hi, we have had Lola almost 3 weeks and she is doing really well. We had this blue duck toy which was soft, and she just started chocking on some of the inards. I put my fingers down her throat and pulled out loads. She is fine now and playing fine. Will she be ok?

Hi, always keep an eye on them when they are chewing any toy, I'm forever pulling things out of Katy's mouth/throat. luckily anything she has swallowed comes out the other end (with help from mummy ) She's beautiful

Re: bad toy fluff, help!!!
I would try her with perhaps a puppy kong less chance of choking on small parts , if you are planning to buy squeaky toys i would take the squeaker part out a rope toy is another good toy for a staffy.

Yeah we have a couple of kongs and some ropes. The soft toys were gifts and we did want to avoid them. But now they are in the bin as she has destroyed them

I know that's what we said. The stuffing is so dangerous!

Re: bad toy fluff, help!!!
I bought some Kong soft toys, and even though the stuffing is minimal, there is enough to still choke a dog. Once I see Roxy has ripped one, I will pull all the stuffing out so just the rope bit inside is showing.

She is gorgeous!!
If she is a keen destroyer with her toys, just keep an eye and if she starts to eat any bits, stop her and use the time to teach her "leave".
Bane used to eat all the bits he pulls off his toys, but as he has got older he stopped. He now just rips stuffing out of soft toys and chucks it all over the house for us to clean up

We avoid soft toys for this reason...stick to ropes and yummy kongs! Remove any squeak's as well just in case!

Re: bad toy fluff, help!!!
Theia is also a destroyer of the soft toy, and she also spits most of the stuffing out. Though I have had to help it out the other end occasionally! I don't mind the odd supervised soft toy, but pull all the stuffing out once she is through the outer!

Re: bad toy fluff, help!!!
The Kong Squeakers are fab - the squeak is right inside in its own little container thing so the dog can't get at it. They seem to be indestuctable too (so far). Another great toy is a plain old tennis ball in an old sock (smellier the better lol) knotted so the ball can't get out. Milo loves them

Hi Guys,
Beautiful pics/aviators of your dogs a real credit to you, please be careful of all soft and hard toys too!!! Remove all hard toys once they start to show the slightest sign of wear and tear and never ever leave your dog with a soft or hard toy unattended! Toys can be fun and should be fun under strict supervision only!!
