Kibble and raw diet
Ted is 6 months old next week and currently has 500g of wainwright's puppy a day and complemented with treats throughout the day. I want him to have a good varied diet so can I offer him something interesting in the mornings or add something to his evening meal? I'm interested in doing a bit of raw but will need some expert advice for some of you guys. Thanks.

Re: Kibble and raw diet
If you are going to be feeding raw bits as treats or as one of his meals in the day, make sure you leave plenty of time between feeding the kibble and the raw as to avoid any upset tums. Do not mix raw and kibble in one meal as they digest at different rates.
Dry foods are supposed to be "complete" as in you don't need to add any variation. If you weren't sure about going with raw, you can always add a few sardines or a raw egg to a couple of meals a week to mix them up a little.
If you did want to add raw, just be aware that not all dogs get on well with all meats. It's usually advised to introduce meats one by one as to rule out any intolerances or allergies, so maybe keep this in mind incase there are any upset tums. Liver, other offal and red meat is also very rich so maybe avoid these until he is used to other raw meats.
If you will be feeding bones, be sure to supervise and you may even need to hold them the first few times until he is used to crunching them up.
Raw meat also doesn't equate to equal amounts of kibble. So rather than splitting his meals 50/50 for example: 250g kibble and 250g raw, you will probably have to feed more raw meat but if you watch his body weight, you can adjust accordingly
