Cow Hooves Empty Cow Hooves

Post by Mich2608 Mon Feb 16 2015, 08:57

Hey guys, well Roxy is brilliant, growing into a lovely dog, stopped nipping and biting almost completely now.  She is nearly 15 weeks old now. Well we visited my brother yesterday and Roxy met her mum, dad and brother.  She had a wonderful time- see pic below, however my brother gave her a cow's hoof and Roxy adores it.. her new best chew toy.. however is it safe.  Of course its rock hard and I worry for her teeth, though of course she still has baby teeth.  Is it ok to let her have this ..

Personally I think she's too young for it. There's a chance she'll loose a tooth before it's ready.
We gave Theia frozen carrots for something hard to chew.

I have Lexi carrots and she still has one a week. And she loves them. They're really good for their teeth xx

I would wait until she has finished teething and her adult teeth have been in a little while just to be safe.

A frozen kong with some peanut butter or other filling would be a great substitute and keep her gums from hurting too much while teething
