Introduced Bug to my friend's little female staffy today, all was well at first, we parallel walked them for about 30 minutes on the moors and then gave them both a little more space. Bug play bowed to the other little lady and got a bit whizzy (perhaps didn't read her signals well) and she flew at her. Bug ran over to me and the other staffy slipped her collar and ran back over to Bug and was on top! Bug nipped her and there was LOTS of noise but me and OH managed to seperate and they just walked on short leads for the rest of the walk.

It's just one of those things, I just feel SO gutted! Nothing like this has happened in all of my time working on Bug's socialization, and the othe girly did start it. Just hope it hasn't set her back, she is so sensitive and whined for the rest of the walk Sad feel so bad!

It's one of those things that can happen Rachel. Lots of ifs and buts, however, slipping the collar is rare thing to happen. Hopefully Bug will brush it off quick enough Smile

Thank you guys! She's okay, just quiet and has quite a big gash on her leg. She's coming for a sleepover with me at my sisters tomorrow and loves it there, so hopefully that will cheer her up!

So often I've had things with various animals, my own and clients', where you think 'oh heck, this'll set them back' and it hasn't. They understand one-offs and don't forget all the good experiences.

Re the gash, do keep an eye on it. Dog bites can infect very quicky.

Hugs to you both.

Yep, has had a dose of salty water and will chuck on some manuka honey for extra measure. I know you're right Liz, just a worry wart and she's such a sensitive little lady. Will hopefully take her for a play with her american bully friend next week and make sure she's forgotten all about it Smile

She's back to her normal self now! I get manuka honey from my vet, it's brilliant stuff and the only thing that healed Bug's surgery wounds. You can buy it from amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B003O31U86/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1423481378&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX200_QL40&keywords=activon+medical+grade+manuka+honey
