Advice needed please. We pick our gorgeous pup up in 4 weeks, the pups will not have had their injections. I understand that there are two types of injections needed and she won't be able to go outside for a certain amount of time. What are the injections and how far apart do they have to be had ? After her second lot how long is it until she can go outdoors ?

All reputable breeders will have started the vaccination programme before releasing the pups. Best advice is don't buy this pup.

Really, she will come with a health and eye test done, I was under the impression it would be up to us to get the vaccinations ?

See this: ok it doesn't actually say that the breeder should start the vaccination programme but the majority do. https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/f116-choosing-a-puppy

The first injection should be done at about 8 weeks then the second two weeks later. Our breeder hasn't had our puppy done as she will be exactly 8 weeks when we get her but we have booked her in to have it done on this Saturday (we are picking her up Friday). They will then need a booster at 1 years old.
Once having their 2nd jab you have to wait 2 weeks from that date before taking them out for a walk.

They can have their first jab anywhere from the age of 8 weeks. And then a second 2-4 weeks later.
They are allowed to socialise indoors or in your garden with vaccinated dogs 1 week after their first jab and can go out outside 1 week after their second jab.

Early socialisation is really important so if you can, try carrying her to places like the shops, down the road, in the car to friends houses etc. Anything to get her out and about to get used to people, car noises and everything else that is going on out there Smile

When you get her just sign up at your local vets and explain you have a new pup and would like to get her vaccinated and they will talk you through how they work as each vets is a little different Smile They should also give her a health check and weigh her!

There are three injections now 8 weeks 10 and 12, then micro chip and kennel cough, the last two are optional but recomended, my girl is 10 weeks old and has had her 2nd jab a couple of days ago, we have been told by our vet that she can go out next week but not up the woods, I wish I could remember what he said she was protected against.

I have to say though the best breeders will only let there dogs go at 10-12 weeks, and from experience they learn a lot about manners from mum and siblings.
