Dog IQ
For Christmas my son bought me a test your dog, the dog IQ test book.
To say I was sceptical would be an understatement but thought it was worth a giggle. So we answered the questions as honestly as possible and ran through the tests (which Flo thoroughly enjoyed) with regular treats. Flo scored not an above average but a full on superior, the only score better would have been a Genius imagine if I'd used high value treats
I am now going to start training her to put the coffee on in the morning and feed the Parott which will save me a bundle of time in the mornings. With a bit of extra work she might even be able to put dinner on in the evenings

Re: Dog IQ
Just don't train her to do an on-line shop though. Can you imagine the trolley? Whole chickens, steak, a few cream cakes...

You don't need a book to tell you that Flo is clever enough to have you under her dew claw!!

Re: Dog IQ
Have you tried the Parrot on the IQ test? As for shopping lists i'm already in the employment of a demanding dog, he knows who's boss, right Stan, Stan?
Re: Dog IQ
You need an IQ TEST? you feed her, she gets you to take her out on exciting walks in all weathers that if your other half suggested you would find some excuse to avoid. its cute that she sits in your place and you find it hard to move her. you cant go into the pet shop just for food but instead come out with armfulls of treats and toys with excitment on how she will react when she sees them. she is asleap on you and you dont want to move because she looks "so comfy" so will sit there enduring the pain of a dead leg as not to disturb them. and again...i ask... do you really need an IQ test... I think they have us beat hands down!

Re: Dog IQ
I don't need an IQ test for pupps she can obviously think for herself , plan, manipulate people and other dogs and understands consequences like when I wanted to leave the park today she was playing and didn't want to leave just yet she kept playing looking at me and I could hear her thinking " I don't wanna go I can run away as mum is holding 3 other dogs and won't be able to get me but is it worth it upsetting mum ? Em.. Not really " and then she comes. Crafty little thing but very brainy.

Re: Dog IQ
I love the way they work out who eats the fastest and then plonk themselves next to them accordingly, with one eye on any other activity. I think Stanley's sent off for the Idiots guide to humans.
Section one: Who manipulates who. Soon after you become the Munsters and are never quite the same again. .
