At last we have a dog again!!!!!

Lucy, who she is called now, came through a hole in our garden fence I had made for one of our cats Phoebe, who sadly lost one of her legs over a year ago, although she virtually does everything she used to do when she had four.
Lucy followed our other cat Willow through the hole and not being able to get through the cat flap in the back door scarpered off down the garden and hid in our bamboo corner.
Jayne, my wife had already spotted her and told me as she left for work that she thinks the puppy she saw was a chocolate Labrador.
I was out in a flash trying to entice whatever was hiding in the bamboo to come out and say hello.
Well in the end I had to force myself through the thick bamboo and saw curled up in the furthest corner a small brindle staffy.
I managed to lift her out and once clear from the bamboo I had a lovely face wash, which thinking back probably clinched it for me.
Shortening the story, she was one of four thrown out of a car in the park next to our house. We learnt that day when the dog warden came to take her that he had found three the night before and thought that was all there was..
We had to wait 7 days before we could legally claim her from the rescue centre where she was put in a foster home with one of her sisters. We have not looked back since, she is a bundle of joy and so well behaved - most of the time - she has never chased the cats once and they will now sit in the same room as Lucy if we are there.
