HELP!?
i have a nearly 7 month old staff pup when we are out walking he loves seeing other dogs but when he approaches a dog taller than him he will either lie down or lie on his back how can i stop this?

You can encourage him to stand up and praise him any confident interactions. What is it that you're concerned about with this behaviour?

I agree with this. I have often seen other dogs simply lay down when being approached. It's just their way of saying "I'm no threat".

Sounds like you have a submissive dog although he's very young and might grow out of it but that's a completely natural behaviour for avoiding fight/ aggression from older/ bigger dogs . I wouldn't worry about it

mia used to do this with the downstairs cat and often does the same with my niece and nephew and all the time her tail batters off my leg nothing to worry about

Its a sign of respect and something a very well gounded dog will do. its something you should be priasing him for as long as he isnt showing fear its a gods gift
