Devon Dog Behaviour Rehab & Rehome
DDBR&R are a wonderful, small rescue and rehabilitation project that take in unwanted, neglected or abandoned dogs. They take in ANY dogs that they can help - big or small, and specifically bull breeds. They are solely funded by generous donations from the public, and run with only 2 full time staff members, and a small group of volunteers. Many of you helped with our 100 club fundraiser, which saw Brucey who had lived his whole life in a crate gain his own special home in Ruth's garden, and fitted the kennels with warmth and light for the winter, so the dogs could be exercised in the dark.
Here are some photo's of recent charges and updates from the kennels.
Bruce's first home
Oscar on arrival
Oscar after
Kato, the underweight and unsocialized pup found his home!
As did Storm (blue girly) and Frankie became a permanent member of the DDBR&R household - AND got the job of socialization dog as he's such a friendly, balanced boy.
After a year in kennels, Max got his home on Dartmoor!
Momo the blind dog sadly still awaits his home, but has wonderful weekends on the beach with his weekend foster family
12 week old Hope, 12 month old Dave arrived as strays too!
Sadly, we lost Sid our golden oldie, and Delilah, one of Ruth's permanent residents who was one of her key socialisation dogs and did so much to help fearful arrivals. Delilah was bred to be a fighting dog, but didn't live up to the challenge and was rescued in a bad way at under a year old. They are very much missed.
This Xmas, DDBR&R are asking that if you have a few quid spare, you could help them out by purchasing an item or two from their wish liar, which will be sent directly to them. They're not the cheapest toys; but we're talking about bull breeds here! They need the toys that will keep them occupied in their kennels for more than 5 minutes! (See below)

Re: Devon Dog Behaviour Rehab & Rehome
Gorgeous dogs and GORGEOUS photos!
Heck, but I feel awful not being able to donate to every animal charity. I'm so involved with Shy Lowen (horses, I'm a trustee), Dananer (dogs +), AA (dogs) and the British Hen Welfare Trust, it's hard to add another to the list. I really do wish everyone at DDBR&R the best, especially because you've got that special 'R' in there as well.
