gobsmaked!!! the force on the neck with weight will be insane and they are using a lure which is against the rules in all weight pull regulative bodies that I know of. Stu, best advice would be to stay away from anyone that trains like that. pulling harnesses cost peanuts and you can get custom made ones for less than 50 quid.
If you want to work your dog try flyball, weightpull (sanctioned clubs) agility or bikejor all great fun for you and the dog.

Max would smash all that type of stuff .. tho not a fan of some of the things in the vid, like the "jump 'n grab" type stuff, and to some extent the "A" board thing, repeatedly at speed like that
The thing to remember about weight pulling, is the majority of power the dog is putting down is coming from the back legs, so when the resistance to that is from the neck only, all that forward pushing motion is passing through the dogs back and neck!! .. which is a ridiculous thing to allow a bull breed to do, because as we all know, they will just "go for it" ... ... a pull harness is designed to equalize the load across the chest, shoulders, and back, and is low slung to keep the dogs center of gravity as low as poss

Re: does any body know...
absolutley Andy, although the A board is crap on the joints the neck pull was my major concern. my two would choke themselves. working a dog is quite different to walking a dog. pulling any kind of weight by the neck imo is a no no. my lines have a bungie in them to absorb a snatch shock from a start and thats from a well balanced bikejor harness. youve seen my two take off from a standing start and it makes me cringe to think of them being attached by the neck doing that. I know you wouldnt work your boy like that either.
