The bed shuffle
Well its 5.15 in the morning here in the UK and I have awoken again to find myself perched on the end of my bed with a slither of space between me and my radiator of a staff nel who is snoring her head off. We started off as most night with nel in the bottom right hand corder of my my super king size bed on top of the covers however as a usual I awake to her snuggled up behind my legs under the duvet snoring for England. Am I the only staffy daddy this happens to ?

Re: The bed shuffle
Lol nope I'm a staffy mummy and I usually wake up hanging off the bed with barely any duvet. Axl is usually lying across the bed head on me and legs over my boyfriend snoring!

Re: The bed shuffle
I think I can see what's going wrong here - you are starting with your staffy on the bed. Clearly the poor dog needs to move about to keep warm. The best is to start with your staffy under the duvet.
This, of course, is the place to retreat to after breakfast as well. This was my adored screwed up staffie x, Bobbert, in his all time favourite place

I don't have this issue with my Flo as she doesn't sleep with us (the wife is another matter though), However, on the sofa if she is snuggled up and I get up then I might aswell forget getting my place back. It's like she magically grows in to the space I've just vacated

Re: The bed shuffle
Sounds very familiar, me & oh are always being pushed out of bed. Katy will start off lengthways down the middle of our bed then turns round sideways during the night

Re: The bed shuffle
Nita was on the floor next to me when I fell asleep last night, woke to find I was on the edge, NO covers and her plonked right in the middle.

Ha yes Gordon does love to cuddle up, sometimes when I wake up he's sitting there looking down at me and I get a huge kiss to wake me up, wonder how long he's been sat there waiting for me to open my eyes

Re: The bed shuffle
Pixee gets into our bed too, instead of sending her back to her bed like I use to, I have given up, and just throw the quilt open, up she comes between my legs. And somehow in the mornings, my legs are hanging out the side of the bed, she knows not to sleep in hubbys corner so tends to take over my side of the bed. She woke me up the other morning licking my feet

Iv got two that do this. I end up at the other end just for some quilt and quiet. The other half snores as well so no escape from it.
