Chaos has started school
Because of the fights with Daisy and because he can do a worried snap at other dogs sometimes, I decided to take Chaos to dog class with the lovely Jane Williams, who's a Victoria Sitwell approved trainer.
We had one brief snap at a very lively young choccy lab when we arrived, but apart from that Chaos was a complete and utter STAR! . We've done some training work at home - heel, sit, down, leave it, wait - but he did so much more and was one of the best young dogs there! We did stay in sit, down and stand, and I could even walk around him with him keeping in position. We tried doing it in pairs, so that you leave both dogs and walk around them both, but the dog we were paired with found it too hard.
Jane had already announced that there will be an examiner coming to judge the Kennel Club bronze awards next week. When she said it I thought that would be good to have something to work towards, but after class she asked me if I want to do it already with Chaos next week. I've just read what it entails and I think we should be able to give it a go, so fingers crossed! Oh, and she also said Chaos is a very good dog. Proud mum!

Well done you two
Chaos certainly sounds like a star. Good luck with the Bronze, I know that others here have recently completed theirs, so well worth a look through the threads to see if you can pick up some hints

Re: Chaos has started school
Oooh! Thanks Ian. I'll have a look.
The only thing Chaos isn't happy about at the moment is the mouth handling. I can hold his mouth and lift the lips to check teeth, but opening his mouth isn't is favourite. I'm not too sure if he might still be sore round his neck so won't push it too far. I've enlisted the help of a jar of Marmite, so we'll see if that works.
