Remembrance Sunday

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

r.i.p all the war heroes

Was really nice to see the huge crowd at our local Wreath laying service.

I wasn't able to get out to see anything this morning and feel very sorry about it.

Was just down at ours the now seeing the poppy wreaths and i left a thank you.
Its a small village and more than 20 died from here in the first world war alone.

It's coming up on Veterans Day in the US as well

Here played the bagpipes and were selling poppies .

I stopped in a feild coverd in mud and said my peace and the guys stayed calm. i found a great uncle from NZ in a wargraves cemetary in crete, quite a humbling experiance.

My youngest was flag bearer for the Explorer scouts today, I was there with Flo as a matter of course anyway but it was so nice to see so many people there and people that I know that I didn't think would be there.

When we got home I asked my boy what he thought the meaning of the day was. He made me proud with his answer. I think we underestimate our youths sometimes.

Remembering all yesterday and the war horses too x
