Tough squeaky toy?
Densil doesn't do "fetch" - he just runs off with a ball. I have recently found out that he loves squeaky toys so I have been playing at fetch with 2 of them - throwing one and getting him to bring back and then throw the other. However, I bought the ones recommend on this forum, further down the page - and they only lasted a few days. Can anybody recommend any tough squeakers? thanks.

Re: Tough squeaky toy?
That may have been my suggestion for the squeaky toys, sorry they didn't last long. Have you ever considered clicker training ? this way there is no toy to bring back or destroy:

Another idea may be to keep the squeaky device out of the toys and just use this to recall Densil with ??
I use one as a distraction tool for Rocky when out on walks.

I wasn't really doing it for obedience training - just for play and exercise in the garden. Densil really enjoyed chasing after the squeaky and then bringing it back and dropping it when I threw another. He even tried to get in the cupboard where he knew they were stored. he just doesn't do the same thing with an ordinary ball.

Re: Tough squeaky toy?
Could you give me a bit more info on the kong squeaky toy please. The only one I could find was the tennis balls and they didn't last long.

Ah! One of those fellas is he?
We have one but she's not 9 months yet but with our old boy it would have been one of those £1 per minute toys!
I wonder if you could remove the squeek from one of them and force it into a black one.??

Re: Tough squeaky toy?
If anyone finds a squeaky toy that last longer than minutes pleeease let me know. Ralph loves them but destroys the squeak so quickly, the tuffy toys last longer even when the squeak stops.

Re: Tough squeaky toy?
I have just bought 2 of these for Densil - Nerf Dog Ridged Squeaker Football, 7-Inch. They are very noisy squeakers. As I said before Densil doesn't do fetch so I have to throw one and get him to bring it back and drop it by squeaking a second one and then throwing that. So far these have seemed very good. He did run off with one of them and have a good old chew but the only damage is a few teeth mark dents. Here is the amazon link but you can get them from other suppliers as well. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nerf-Ridged-Squeaker-Football-7-Inch/dp/B00EUV6SLU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424258632&sr=8-1&keywords=nerf+dog+ball
