Date today??

by my calculations i thought it was the 25th October??no obviously not here,i have fireworks going off all around and one very scared little girl ,she's so scared she had to come in the bathroom and lay by the bath as i had one.I know you have to ignore as best you can but when she's crying,shaking and panting i just want to cuddle her.Thundershirt on with adaptil spray on and its not working,another 10 or so days of this to come

Oh no to be honest, at this age if it has always been a problem and isn't likely the change I'd give her as much comfort as she needs! Also hate feeling so hopeless! They haven't started yet here thankfully! Have taken time off work though for Halloween and bonfire night xx

Poor girly it makes my so angry it shouldnt be allowed I am also dreading it Stella why are there no laws for this! its pityful to see I know xxx

she's calming down now i think the spray is kicking in,think i might give the vet a call on monday,last year i got some zylkene tablets for her and with all 3 things worked ok,we meant to be going away just after firework night so hope they dont keep on going.

I really do feel for you guys. I'm kinda lucky that Flo can't hear as they have really kicked off here. I'm sure she can feel the vibrations though.

Knew there was a Halloween! Bonfire night? On in the next town over so figured there may be a few round here. We had our last walk heading out about 6.30pm there was the odd one or two going off in the distance which Ledger seemed ok with. 
He has been having serene ums tablets for a few days and rescue remedy in his water and as soon as we got back his thundershirt went on and I plugged in the new adaptil diffuser keeping the boy downstairs with me. And he had been calm but got a bit miffed at not being allowed upstairs and eventually fished the stair gate open. 2 mins later he was back downstairs barking! He almost straight away calmed back down again tho so fingers crossed (getting some dirty looks for sealing the stair gate as he cant go up to nest on my bed tho!)

how much rescue remedy did you put in his water jules,just a few drops?

i feel for the wee dogs im more scared of fireworks than mia

About half a pipet in a full bowl of water and if it gets bad a couple of drops on his ears not sure how much it works but the bottle has lasted for ages

jules is that just on the day,or do you need to put it in the water a few days to the run up?

We can sympathise deeply with Sasha, Rocky hates them too. We use the adaptil spray which seems to work for calming Rocky and he did actually sleep through some last night.
