Hi i'm new
Hi all I'm Peaceful, and have just joined the forum, I have a 13 month old staffie (my last staffie passed in 2009, he was my precious baby..) I feed him on Barley, mixed veg and chappie mixed the together with one teaspoon of natural organic 0% yogurt, a teaspoon of ground linseeds, a tiny amount of MSM (for dogs) and a couple of small scoops of James wellbeloved biscuits, I feed him this twice a day (evening meal without yogurt, MSM linseeds) oh and 3 times a week I substitute the chappie for freshly boiled chicken. Thing is he was neutered, and we had him on metacam, then the vets said we could stop it as he was passing awful wind, now he's just on prednisone for his ears, he's still passing terrible wind and i'm worried about him. Is it something I'm feeding him?

Hi & Welcome from Flo and me
Not sure about the wind but Chappie isn't a very good food.
Jameswellbeloved is ok as is Wainwright's which is what I feed my girl.

Re: Hi i'm new
Hi wonderful people,
Thank you for the lovely welcome and the advice
Hi Ian, you don't think Chappies a good feeling food? Can you suggest as good quality wet food? Barney does love his wet food as well as buiscuits :)I thought chappie was good because it's apparently approved by vets. Thank you Ian
Hi Kathy, I mix about a third of freshly boiled puréed veg and barley with his food, I didnt give him is tiny scoop of MSM (for dogs) this morning just in case it's that as maybe I've started him on it too young? I just don't want him suffering with his back legs as he gets older but I will definitely cut back the veg and see him that helps. Thank you Kathy
Oh and can anyone tell me how to put pics of my Barney on here please?
Thank you all!

Re: Hi i'm new
Hi dear all,
Hope you are all well. Can I ask a question please? My beautiful Barney isn't well, he done yellowish/greenish diarrhoea indoors. Took him to the vets 2 days ago and they gave Zitac tablets 200mg and I'm to give him one before food twice a day and he can only eat pasta and chicken, he had one tablet in the evening when he came back from the vets and 2 yesterday as it was a full day and 2 today, his stools are no firmer and are still that yellowish colour, how long should it take for the tablets to work?

Re: Hi i'm new
I'm really not sure to be honest, it might be worth giving the vets a quick call to ask the same question. If nothing else it'll put your mind at ease.
