More surgery for Luis

Luis had a patella repair in Feb this year and now his other leg is playing up. He has got to have xrays on Monday but vet thinks patella or cruciate ligament problem. Is there anything i can give to help ease the inflammation and pain? He is on Metacam and i also have joint care from petshop.

It isn't something I have experienced but wishing you all the best XXXx

aww poor boy,sash is 10 and starting to get a bit of stiffness in one of her back legs,i give her green lipped muscle powder sprinkled in her food,it has worked really well

Do they sell that in health shops??

i get it on-line at www.ace-canine.com,they do a trial packet free of charge,they even send it out for free too,lasts about 3 weeks so you should see if it works,a week of sash taking it and i could see an improvement.health foods shops do it humans.

Just to let you all know, Luis has arthritis in his back leg and will need ongoing anti-inflammatories but no surgery. It is good that he doesn't need surgery but it's sad that he's only two and will have to live with arthritis for the rest of his life. Thank you for all your messages they mean alot x x

My ice had two patella ops on one leg and one on the other , it's far to say after these ops they will get arthritis some worse than others and some better than others , ice has been lucky so far I give her cod liver oil in her food to help with her joints and at only 3 years old she seems fine touch wood
