Blotches
Hi all its been a while since I have posted but i would like to know if you have seen this on any of yours? I have spoken to the vet and they think its just an allergic reaction that may have been caused by the fresh cut grass. It has only come up over the last couple of hours and I was told to bath them in warm salt water and if any worse bring him up in the morning. It is not bothering him in any way i think it's bothering me more. We gave him a few new bone biscuits from a new shop and since he had them (last 2 days) his bum stinks and had runny poo's yesterday. Any views would be good.
Thanks.

They are just bone shaped black ones and biscuit colour. We normally get them from our supplier but they were closed so went to our local Jollies. Last 24 hours he has had runny poo's and really smelly bum but the lumps only came up over the past 5 hours. We cut the grass in the garden yesterday and Alfie does like to belly crawl but it has never caused this before. I have just called the out of hours vet and she told me to give him half a Piriton and see how he is in the morning but I can foresee a trip to the vet after the school run.
Here he is as his normal self.

Cheers

Re: Blotches
Just sound like charcoal biscuits then, don't really see why that would cause a reaction then and if the grass never has before. If he is the same in the morning I think definitely pop to the vets and get him checked over xx

Yea black ones are men't to be charcoal but very little in them others are just plain I guess.
Re: Blotches
I would have suggested giving half an antihistamine tablet and see if the bumps go down, sounds like it's OK though.

Mine has the same on his stomach when he comes back from a walk, they don't bother him and he doesn't lick or scratch them. I'm wondering if it's something in the grass because it's the first year he's ever had the blotches.
